Nayirie Keutéklian is a Lebanese-Armenian visual artist and iconographer, born in Beirut in 1995. She studied Sacred Art in the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik and earned a Master’s degree in Iconography and the Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Property and Sacred Art. Since 2017, she has been collaborating in restoration projects with major Lebanese institutions such as Beirut Museum of Art (BeMa) and the Sursock Museum.

Nayirie participated in numerous collective exhibitions in Beirut, and held her first solo exhibition in 2019 at the Church of the Holy Cross in Zalka. In 2021, she started adopting a new artistic style, mixing pop surrealism with traditional sacred art techniques. She created her own visual language where spirituality coexists with imagination. Her artworks depict fusion of traditional and modern aesthetics. Her recent solo exhibition Into the Light at Kalim Bechara gallery put her in the spotlight. Her latest artwork, an icon of Saint Jacques, commissioned by l’Oeuvre d’Orient, will be displayed in the Cathedral, Notre Dame de Paris.
