Sameh Nidal Rahmi, a Palestinian photojournalist, was born in Lebanon in 1986, and relocated to Gaza with his family in 1995. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Media and Communication from the University of Palestine, obtained in 2006, and a Diploma in Design and Management from Al-Azhar University. 

With expertise in media, communication, and design, Rahmi has collaborated with numerous international and local photography agencies. In 2016, he honed his skills in a Visual Storytelling Photography Workshop in Gaza, organized by the Rawiya Collective and the World Press Photo. From 2022 to 2023, he participated in the prestigious Arab Documentary Photography Program, supported by the Arab Fund for Arts and Culture, the Magnum Foundation, and the Prince Claus Fund.

Rahmi has been documenting the Israeli-Palestinian conflict since 2008, capturing through his lense the profound human suffering and resilience amid war. One of his most notable projects, My Phantom Walks with Me, focuses on individuals in the Gaza Strip who lost limbs due to Israeli bombings or shelling, offering a poignant exploration of their lives and the enduring impact of conflict.
